Bourjne again!

Bjourne, a nom de plume for more than 20 years, has taken up a camera and has begun working his interest for history and images in and around Bedford County, Pennsylvania.

Another great photo.
Another great photo. I took it myself!

I love to do research and have done so my whole life. I will be adding interesting information as I go along.

For several years, I roamed Bedford County just for fun. I carried a small camera bag with me. If something caught my eye, I took out the camera and went wild. With quite a few thousands of photos, I posted just a representation here.

I met many people and saw many interesting sights. Sometimes my trek was cut short with a long chin wag with a stranger. Afternoons turned into evening and turned into night. I have stories to tell. I just might post a few here.

This is a reorganized and reformatted site from an old images only site. The old site was fine for friends and family which is why it existed - of course - but lagged behind on modern standards. I have research and stories from other older sites and from never published writings. I hope to make this site fun and interesting to more people. It is just for fun. Something to do.

Here are some photos of my families first home with a few clues as to who I am.

Artist Statement

My work explores the relationship between the tyranny of ageing and emotional memories. With influences as diverse as Rousseau and John Lennon, new tensions are created from both traditional and modern dialogues.

Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated by the ephemeral nature of relationships. What starts out as vision soon becomes corroded into a dialectic of futility, leaving only a sense of nihilism and the unlikelihood of a new beginning.

As wavering phenomena become clarified through emergent and repetitive practice, the viewer is left with a hymn to the possibilities of our condition.

(Just kidding!)
